I The Speech from the Throne
…
The voice of the office: LEADER OF EARTH, rendered on your own machine.
Your browser renders this voice from the text it fetched. Nothing is rendered for you on the server.
The Ministry of Truth · every setting of the voice, in the open
Orwell's Ministry of Truth rewrote the record. This one hides nothing: these are the voice's own settings, applied on your machine at the next sentence. The measured voice is the default; you may tune it, and restore it.
The scale · every note the voice can sing, mapped to its frequency
Equal temperament, A4 = 440 Hz: a note's frequency is 440 · 2(n − 69)/12, where n is its MIDI number; each semitone is the twelfth root of two (×1.0595), each octave doubles. The Leader of Earth speaks around G♯2 (103 Hz); the spectrogram's grid marks every C.
II The Office
Holder of the office

This week's ballot
…
Weeks continued without a single ballot
…
How a dictator arrives: not by announcement, by silence. This number is that silence.
III The State of the Earth
What the Earth is doing now: earthquakes, volcanoes, fires, storms, ice, and the launches leaving it. Fetched by your browser straight from the publishers (USGS, NASA, Launch Library 2 for SpaceX), cached on your machine, relayed by no one.
Sources
The template is earth/sources.json. Google Earth / Maps is on the to-do list: Google has no keyless live feed, so it arrives as a map and imagery layer, not a source.
IV The Petition Hall
Lay a petition before the throne. It is signed by your wallet, recorded in the order it arrives, and cannot be edited by anyone, the office included.
V The Ballot
One week, one ballot per address. Retain the holder, or name who should hold the office next week. The first ballot from an address stands.
Honest about its limits: one address is not one person. A wallet costs nothing, so a single person with many wallets can cast many ballots. Weighting by realm membership or a soulbound credential is the next step; this prototype does not do it.
VI The Foundations
Article I. The Crown. The office of the Leader of Earth keeps the forms of a throne: a seal, a speech from the throne, petitions laid before it. Ceremony is how a people remembers what matters.
Article II. The Republic. Power is never given; it can only be taken. The office holds a seat, not power: the holder serves one week at a time, and every week the people take the power back by voting to retain the holder or to name a successor. The seat and the throne can be lost in one moment, at the close of any week.
Article III. The Ballot. Every petition and every ballot is signed by the wallet that casts it, over a message anyone can rebuild. The record is append-only and hash-linked: each entry carries the fingerprint of the one before it.
Article IV. The Count. At the close of a term, the holder is replaced only if more ballots ask for replacement than for retention; the nominee with the most such ballots takes the next term. On a tie, or with no ballots at all, the holder continues.
Article V. The Warning. A holder who continues because no one voted is not re-elected; the office says so, and counts the silent weeks in public. Dictatorship happens in republics that stop voting. The count is the alarm.
Article VI. The Voice. The office has a voice of its own, the Leader of Earth: one English assembled from eight Englishes of the world, so that no single nation owns its mouth. It belongs to the office, and passes to every holder.
VII The Rolls
The whole ledger, verified on request: every link, every content address, every signature recovered from the message it signed.
VIII The Record
The speech says: look at the record. Here it is, by decade since Tesla's 1897 wireless patent and by century across the twelve thousand years since the first fields. Where the record resolves only millennia, it says so. What has been proposed and not shown is kept beside it, as open questions.
IX The Pigeon
The Leader of Earth is the interface to Earth, and the pigeon carries the messages. Send the line being read (or the first) out through your own account; read what Earth sends back with #leaderearth. Nothing is posted for you, nothing is relayed by this server, and no key lives in this page.

What Earth says to the office
…
Messages carried by pigeon are read, not recorded: they are not petitions. Only a petition signed by a wallet enters the ledger.
